Business Model
AlgMax's core competence lies in the development, commercialisation and marketing of technologies for the cultivation of algae and, together with partnering companies, the downstream process.
After the development of the technologies and the patenting thereof, licenses will be granted to producers. From 2010, licenses are to be sold to biogas plant operators and biodiesel producers as well as companies, who supply algae to biogas plant operators and biodiesel producers.
AlgMax plans a two step approach. During the first step (2010-2012), algae biomass will be produced exclusively for biogas plants. From 2013, the algae biomass will also be available for the production of biodiesel. Until then the downstream processing is to be developed with partnering companies.
